Black Mirror - Ada Ramírez

Black mirror is a serie TV that their origin is British. It’s a serie of science fiction created by Charlie Brooker and produced by Zeppotron. The finality of this serie is sentitize of as technology affect our lives. This serie is created in 2011.

This episode do reference a reality about the society but more exaggerated. Is about a ranking in social networks but referring to real life. A ranking that if you have little score nobody takes you into account and if you have very score all people loves you and you are respect. The main character is Lacie, the women that want to get change her live for a luxurious.
All people looks like that have a perfect live and never have problems. Everyone is apparently happy and very polite for people to vote for them with the highest score. Alice decides to rent a flat that requires a score of 4.5 and can not do it because she has 4.2 and to get this flat, she decides to go to the wedding of an old friend so that people vote for her with a maximum score. on the trip that makes to go to the wedding, she gets many incidents and that makes her score go down. When she comes to the wedding, her speech doesn’t like anyone and she gets a lower score than she had.

I liked this episode because it makes see the reality, you will never be happy if you look at the opinions of others and only care to pretend that everything is okay to look good.

Black Mirror (Nosedive)-Núria Martínez

“Black Mirror” is an American TV show that has 5 seasons and 22 episodes. The first broadcast was shown on the 4th of December of 2011 on Netflix and since then the followers of the series haven’t stopped increasing. The peculiarity of Black Mirror is that it’s sci-fi and each episode tells a different story. Today, I am going to review season 3 episode 1 (Nosedive).
In a world where people wear contact lenses that feed information about people and about their ratings, Bryce Dallas in the role of Lacie Pound is about to buy the house of her dreams but she has to have more than 4.2 so that she can get a generous discount. In order to reach the rating, she decides to get in contact with her childhood best friend (a 4.8) and manages to be her maid of honour at her wedding. Things get a little complicated right away from starting the trip to the wedding.
The most enjoyable thing about the episode is the special effects and the principal actress. The stage props are so pleasing to the sight and I think we all imagined the future like the episode did show us. The actress plays such an important role that she knew how to make it so believable and macabre.
On the other hand, I find that her brother could have had a bigger role. He might only be a 3.7 but because he’s somehow managed to keep a foot on the ground, and the director didn’t give him the importance that it really has nowadays.
The episode did not show so much their real lives but the lives they want other people to see and think they are living. Mostly they worry, about how they are seen, about their status … and that easily can be linked to these days in society. I would definitely recommend this episode!

Black Mirror - Aina Pascual Beneito

“Nosedive” is the title of one of the episodes of the British speculative anthology series created by Charlie Brooker, known as black mirror. The main character is Lacie Pound played by the actress Bryce Dallas Howard.

The plot  protagonist lives in a world where you are rated by everyone, where numbers determine your lifestyle and social status. She has been rated with a 4.2 but it is not enough to get the luxurious house she has in mind but she realizes that if she improved her score, she would be able to buy the house. She sees her childhood friend's wedding as an opportunity to improve her score. But things seem to get complicated on the trip.

I really enjoyed watching this episode due to the fact that it focuses on how social networks can harm us in the future, how humans are able to live in a false personality so as not to become marginalized.

I found this episode boring because it was a little bit long. If the chapters were shorter, I would enjoy it more.

In conclusion I liked it a lot. If you like sci-fi series you should totally watch it!

Black Mirror - Judit López

"Nosedive" is one of the most famous chapters of the well-known British science fiction series "Black Mirror”. It was created by Charlie Brooker and released on Netflix. This TV Series is an anthology that wants to show different types dystopia that could happen if we did a bad use of technology.

In this episode the main character is starred by the actress Bryce Dallas Howard,  its set in a society where people can rate each other from one to five for every interplay they have. The problem begins when this punctuation affect on your social and economic status. Throughout this episode we can see the life of Lacie Pounds, an elegant woman who wants to enhance her 4,2 rating to 4,5 for acquire a discount on an apartment. Her desire to get the punctuation as soon as possible will play her a dirty trick.

The most enjoyable thing about the episode is the connection that it gets with the spectator. The plot makes you reflect; it displays a society that it's a consequence of our technologies, which if it happens, will have very bad effects on our lives.

The only fault I can find is that the episode is a little bit tiresome. The story-line happens very slowly and that makes the episode hard to see.

Instead of that, I consider this episode interesting and entertaining. When you finish the episode, you consider the society, and that's a point that not a lot of series and films reach.

Black Mirror- Abel Perpiñán

Nosedive is the first episode of the third season of the Black Mirror science-fiction we saw in class. What is reflected in this episode is the abuse of technology and how it can affect us.

Lacie is the main character in the Black Mirror series, the chapter is about the obsession with the technology of valuations that each person has through the internet with stars and she does everything she can to get the highest score.
This score is very important to her as it benefits her in many ways, she can lead a privileged life.
Lacie, in the beginning, has a very good rhythm of life and is happy, but with each passing time he makes things worse by making mistakes that make she lose their value and lower their stars. In the end she loses control and becomes obsessed and ends up desperate with the points because without this he cannot do some things.

In conclusion, this is a very shocking and exciting chapter because of the obsession of technology and that makes us reflect on our addiction to technology in our society, I recommend this episode as it is very good for teenagers.

BLACK MIRROR - Araceli Casino

“Nosedive”, is the first chapter of the third season, of
science-fiction series Black Mirror, it is in Netflix. This chapter was written by Michael Schur, Rashida Jones and Charlie Brokker. The directors wanted to do a social criticismhis, in the episode tell us about how technology and social media affect society.

This chapter is about the obsession of a girl, Lacie the main character, with her ratings, she would be able to do whatever to improve her punctuations. In the episode Lacie wants to increase her stars to change her lifestyle to a luxurious one. Being the bridesmaid of the wedding of her popular childhood friend Alice Eve.
The objective is that if you have a lot of stars, you will be more famous.

In conclusion, it is a gripping and unforgettable chapter that will make you think how the technology and the social media affect now a days, and also how important is be careful with this type of apps.

Black Mirror - Aina Garrido

Nosedive is the first chapter in the third season of the series Black Mirror. Series that are about possible futures caused by the modern technologies.
Directed by Joe wright, the chapter is written by Rashida Jones, Michael Schur and Charlie Brooker. Nosedive is also based on one of the Brooker story series.

This chapter shows a society where people score each other by looking their social networks with their mobile advices. The highest mark is 5, and people that have high marks have advantages over people with low marks, and also are more popular.
The main character is Lacie Pound (Bryce Dallas Howard), a girl that as most of the people is obsessed with her score. Then her “supposed best childhood school”, Naomi, invite Lacie at her wedding, where the invited people are over 4.4. The problems start when the trip doesn’t start as she planned.

The best thing about Nosedive is that shows perfectly how much the society is obsessed with social media and the popularity. Also, for being accepted and included in these fake and superficial world.
What I loved the most is Naomi’s personality; it’s very well-acted. She is the typical popular and beautiful blondie. However, normally if someone is humiliated this one won’t continue doing something that could make the situation worst. This is something that I can’t understand. If she hadn’t gone to the wedding, her score wouldn’t have become as low.
I only have one criticism, which is that the chapter is a little bit longer or what wants to show, so I think it could be shorter.

In my opinion Nosedive isn’t the best chapter in the series, there are more which are better than this one. Despite that, the chapter is well-thought and the critic behind the chapter is good. I recommend it to the people that like futurist series that have critic messages behind. Nevertheless, if the chapter were shorter, I would recommend it more.

Black Mirror-Carla Arroyo

The first episode of the third season of Black mirror call «Nosedive» is a science-fiction episode, about a world in which everyone is constantly rating each other out of five, and so everyone is sickeningly nice to each other at all times. People can qualify and be rated by scores of one to five stars in each social interaction they make. Lacie the main character is a young woman obsessed with her qualifications. To have more punctuation, she wanted to buy a new apartment. She find one but if she want this apartament she will need better punctuation. However, Noemy her best friend in childhood invite Lacie to her weeding. During the travel to the weeding Lacie had a lot of problems, she couldn’t arrive at time to the weeding because she had problems with the personal in the airport and other places and decrease a lot her punctuation. Probably if she had taught better to the other people she wouldn’t had this problems.

I will recommend a lot this episode because is like our society, our education is based to be the best or have the best things. I think that If we had a different mind our world would be better, we would trust us more.

Black Mirror - Eva Tallón

Black Mirror is a science-fiction series. This episode of Black Mirror is called "Nosedive" and it's the first episode of its third season and its director is Joe Wright. Also he has directed other films like "Pride & Prejudice" and more. The scriptwriters of this episode are Michael Schur, Rashida Jones and Charlie Brooker. The main character is called Lacie and is starred by the actress Bryce Dallas Howard.

The plot of "Nosedive" is based on a woman that lives in a society with an obsession for rate everyone in the social networks. Just for this, the humans have many problems to adapt. If you do something wrong, the others will judge you and after they put you less stars in the social networks. But if you do good things, everybody else will give you more stars in your page. Lacie will try to climb the category to stay in the social elite. This will give her bad experiences, but also new ones.

What I like most is that all the cast have played their roles very well, especially Bryce Dallas Howard, she is one of my favourites actresses.

I find this episode a little bit bored because it was very long. If the chapters were more shorts, you would stay more interested of the details of the scenes.

Finally, I recommend "Nosedive" to teenagers and everyone that is addicted to the mobile phone and social networks. This episode helps you see that isn't good if you abuse the technology.

Black Mirror-Paula Giménez

Black Mirror, it is a Netflix and science-fiction series that makes a social criticism. “Nosedive”, it is the first chapter of the third season. In this episode, the director want to show what would happened if we can not control whit the technology, and we start to get obsessed with it.

The story it is about a society that works with punctuations, if you have more punctuation you can access to more places and privileges. The people that you stay whit, it is the one that gives you the punctuation, so sometimes you have to be fake to like the others and have a good mark. The principal actress was so obsessed with what other thought of her that ruined her life.

This chapter has a very good message for all the people, because we have to know the power that the social media have, and we have to learn how to control all the internet power to be saved. Moreover, we have to learn how to live without depending for an electrical device. May be it have changed the live of someone, because if some people had not seen the chapter they would not have cared about it.

Black mirror - Carla Lamata

BLACK MIRROR
Today I would like to talk about a chapter of ther thriller serie, Black Mirror, called “Caída en picado”. This short film focuses on a society governed by the stars you obtain from people, according to your behaviour. It tells the story of Lacie Pound’s life, a women obsessed with her popularity.
Everything stars when she wants to lead a more glamourous life. She found the way to improve her mark but a whole series of facts took her mark down.  During these events, they will show us some characters that will have a notable influence on Lacie. One of them will be Susan, a woman who helps Lacie when she is having a bad time. Although Susan has a rating of 1.4 stars out of 5, which is very poor, she helps Lacie a lot.
In conclusion, I recommend this chapter because I found the film very thrilling and it makes you think on the future and the society we are becoming. This film holds the spectator’s attention until the end.

BLACK MIRROR - Anna Vidal

In the nosedrive chapter we can see a future society influenced by the mobile. Each person has a score formed by their actions and compositions, the rating is over five stars and allows them to acquire a social status. If they do something wrong, their score get lower.

Lacie is a young girl with a very good score, but she needs more to live in her dream home, so she decides to increase her score by "using" her childhood friend, Noemi. Noemi invites her to her wedding but on the trip Lacie encounters a few difficulties that make her score drop a lot and stay with a very low rating. In a scene he meets a woman who makes him open his eyes and know true happiness. If Lacie hadn’t met the woman, she probably would have remained unhappy.

finally, I find this chapter quite boring, If the chapter wasn’t so long, it wouldn’t be so boring, but the meaning of it is as important as, we give too much importance to social networks and to people to see us happy when we really aren't.

Black Mirror- Núria Ordóñez

“Nosedive” was released on Netflix on October 21, 2016. It belongs to the third
season of the drama show Black Mirror, which exposes the bad side of technology
and the impact that it has in our lives. Bryce Dallas Howard stars in the role of Lacie,
the main character.
The episode it is set in the future, in a society that that rates people depending on
what they do. For example, if you are nice to the shop assistant and he likes you, he
will give you five stars. The main character is Lacie, a young girl who is obsessed with
getting the maximum of stars she can in order to have a wealthier live surrounded by
the most popular people.
The thing that I loved the most is the end, when Lacie decides to stop caring about
anything and, for that, she is send to prison. If she had behaved herself, she would not
had ended up in jail, but I think that it’s better that way. At least she could express
herself.
“Nosedive” it’s thrilling and believable because the reality showed in it could easily
become true in our own society and that is why I would definitely recommend it. From
my point of view, it is very adequate that we watched this episode because if we had
not watched it, we would not be so aware about the danger of social media.

Black Mirror - Sofía Sainz

In this episode, people are rated by scores of one to five stars in every social interaction they make, if they do something wrong their score is reduced. Lacie Pound, a young woman obsessed with her grades, is chosen by a popular childhood friend as a bridesmaid at her future wedding, she sees it as an opportunity to raise her score and be able to buy her dream home.

During the trip to attend the wedding, Lacie, has several encounters that make her personal qualification begin to reduce quickly. The plot isn’t far away from nowadays either, people do anything for likes. It’s kind of irritating to know that you don’t have freedom of speech, because, for one small mistake, reduce your score.

Lacie saw a man in the hologram and realized he wanted the apartment, yet I don’t think she realized what he really wanted, that it was to love someone. Deep down, she just needed someone who could understand her, someone she could finally get out of the social media costume with. If you like science fiction I honestly think that is a good chapter for you, it explains perfectly what might happen in the future, or rather what is beginning to happen.

Black Mirror - Adrian Galvez

Nosedive is the first chapter of the third season of the sci-fi series Black Mirror that is original from Netflix. The director wants to show what life would be if the technology took the control of the society.  They present us a world where if you have a good scored you could get more privileges in your life. That is the reason by which everybody is obsessed with the rank punctuation.

The actress Bryce Dallas Howard have the role of Lacie. She is the protagonist of the episode. Lacie is a young person that is valued at 4.2 and she wants to have 4.5  to be able to access a discount a luxe apartment. If she gets 0.2 more points, she can get the discount to the apartment.

I really liked this chapter because the message of the plot  is very focused on our society and the consequences of being in contact with technological devices all the day.

Black mirror- Andrea de la Cruz

In this chapter we can see a society where according to your social status, the rest of people can see you as a good or bad person.

The plot is about Lacie, who is the main character of the story. Shes overly obsessed with her ratings, because she found out an offert that gives her the opportunity to move to a better home. But the condition is that she needs to elevate her number of her ratings. She has a popolar friend, named Alice Eve. She nominated Lacie as maid of honour for her wedding. Lacie, saw this oportunity to grow her ratings. The rest of the chapter is about how Lacie tries to arrive to the wedding, she will have to go through many difficulties to get there. For example, if she isn't a number three, she can't take a plane at the airport.

Black Mirror - Laia Sainz

The episode is set in a world where people can rate each other from one to five stars for every interaction they have, which can impact their socioeconomic status. Lacie is a young woman overly obsessed with her ratings; she finds an opportunity to elevate her ratings greatly and move into a more luxurious residence after being chosen by her popular childhood friend as the maid of honour for her wedding. Her obsession leads to several mishaps on her journey to the wedding that culminate in a rapid reduction in her ratings.

I think this episode should be seen by anyone who are interested in how the future are coming from the hand of technology and in this case of social media.  It is not the best episode that talk about that, but it is pretty good because show us the damage it can do to us if we don't control it.

Black mirror - Martí Ramírez

Nosedive” is the first chapter of the third season of the science-fiction serie “Black Mirror”. The director wants to show what would happen if the technology took the control of the society.

This chapter it’s about the obsession of Lacie, the main character, with her ratings, she does everything that she can to get a higher score. This puntuation in her reality is very important for a lot of things; if you have a good score, you could get a more privileged life. At first, Lacie have a good ratitng ans she looks happy, but with de pass of time she makes mistakes that make her lose points. At the end she finish desperate because if she lose points, she can’t do some things.

Black Mirror is a netflix series that shows you the dark side of technology and all the damage it can do to us if we don't control it
The first chapter of the third season is about a society that is classified through a number set by other people based on the acts that each one does
For me is not the best chapter of this serie there are some chapters that are more energetic and you have to pay more atention this one is very slow and all the time is the same but is easy to understand

Black mirror-Laura Paniagua

Nosedive is the title of the first chapter of the the third season of the science-fiction serie Black Mirror. This chapter was written by Michael Schur, Rashida Jones and Charlie Brokker. The directors wants to show what the technology does in the society.

This chapter explains the obsession that has Lacie (the protagonist) with her ranking. In this chapter people can give score to other people. Lacie has an obsession to has a high score, one day Alice Eve a childhood friend invited to Lacie to her wedding and she saied yes to can push up her score, but when she was going to the wedding some things happened and her score push down.

What I like more about this chapter was the emotion that the protagonist Lacie puts, since it transmits happiness and concern.

What I dislike is the final since it was so short, and if the final is more long than the knot the film would be more interesting.

I'ts the best chapter i have ever seen because is so emotive, and I recommend this chapter to adults and teenagers to see what social networks does.

Black Mirror- Carla Martín Amor

"Nosedive" is the first chapter in the third season of the British science-fiction series called Black Mirror. The directors wanted to do a social criticism of the obsession that our society have of rating and punctuating the others with the technology. Everyone seems to be happy to get as much stars as they can. But in the reality, they aren’t enjoying anything of their life for fear of getting bad marks. If we get this system of ratings, will the real society be happy?

The main character is Lacie (by the actress Bryce Dallas Howard), a young woman obsessed with her ratings, she does everything in her power to improve in the society by her punctuations. In the episode she finds an opportunity to increase her stars (the way they get the ratings) to change her lifestyle by a luxurious residence, which she would only afford it if she increases her rate. But at the end, her desperation leads her in a very low punctuation.

I really liked the episode by the production and the message that we get with the plot. The chapter makes me thing about our society, if we didn’t create networks like: Instagram, YouTube…, we would be more sociable and without the necessity of the others attention.

BLACK MIRROR - Lucía García

I’m going to talk about the first chapter of the third season call “plummet”, from the serie of science-fiction, Black mirror original from Netflix, the director wants to show what life would be if we let technology control as, and the chapter it’s about a society obsessed with a rank puntiaction, going through the motions, accions, filings and manners, depending the rank where you, you get more benefits in life, the give a maximum of five stars in everything they do with the people around them. They live in a hypocrisy world, where no one show they truthly face, or they interests. Then they change them lifetimes to do whatever they can, to increase to the maximum rank, five stars.

The plot starts with the main character, called Lacie, performed by the actress Bryce Dallas, acting like a obsessed with the punctuation mark, that is invited by an all friend like a bridesmaid to her exclusive wedding, that will be a good opportunity for her, because, surround herself with people over the four point five rank, if  she increase her qualification she’ll get everything she dreamed of. But this  is going to be more difficult that it’s seems.

I like the chapter because, is an extremely way to show as what could happen if we let technology and the social media control as more than they do now.

In conclusion is a good story performed by a good cast and an unexpected final scene, i recommend the serie in general, is brillian.

Black Mirror - Annette Benning

Nosedive is one of the most popular chapters of the serie Black Mirror. Is a science-fiction episode that tries to reflect what would happen if society made a massive abuse of innovation and technology.

They present us a world where all things are based on a punctuation. For example, If you have a score that is near to five, you could access to more privileged live; but as your score decreases, your privileges too. The actress Bryce Dallas Howard have the role of Lacie, a girl obsessed to begin popular. She decided to bought a house, but she didn’t have enough score to paid it. So she contact with an old friend, Naom, that was very famous, with the goal to increase her score. Naomi invited Laci to her wedding, which started a trip that led her to the misfortune.

Finally, I consider a  gripping, believable and  educative chapter that makes you see how can affect us the social media. If we don’t stop to show our live all the time, we could finished like the episode.

Black Mirror - Alba Fernández Vivar

The title of the chapter is Nosedive, and is part of the Sci-fi Black Mirror series. The protagonist of the story is Lacie, played by actress Bryce Dallas Howard. And the director is Charlie Brooker.

The episode takes place in a world in which people can qualify and be rated by scores of one to five stars in each social interaction they make. Lacie is a girl obsessed with being popular. Her childhood friend invites her to her wedding. Her friend has many stars and is popular for which Lacie thinks that if she goes to the wedding and makes a good speech she will get fame. In this world it is more important to have good qualification than money. So Lacie thinks that if she had had more popularity she would have had more things

What I like best is the end, since you don’t expect it and it is very different from everything that had happened. I also like it because This episode holds the spectator’s attention until the end.

What I would not like is if it were real the world would be a disaster. People would look for fame and without popularity you wouldn't be anyone.

I recommend seeing this chapter because when you see it you realize that part of our society search fame just like the protagonist. And also because it is entertaining and fun
